How I incorporate AI tools into my workflow

A question I often get is: How do I incorporate AI into my workflow? Here are two ways I use AI in my business, plus a new tool I recently tried.

ChatGPT

I write all my own content because it’s important to me that my writing accurately reflects my voice and perspective. That said, I LOVE using the prompt “correct grammar:” and then pasting my text to catch any small errors.

This tool can read documents and websites. After creating https://jennybv.com/, I used the following prompt to check if my content would resonate with readers as I intended:

“[Pasted my website URL] I want you to audit this page and identify the issues and problems Jenny addresses. She has a sales coaching business and wants to understand what key points her target audience would take from this content.”

I then adjusted the copy on my website as needed to make sure my message was clear for my intended audience.

I’ve been told that AI is only as effective as the input and prompts you provide, so while the above are brief examples, I often dive deeper and experiment with additional questions and prompts based on the responses I receive.

This leads me to the next tool I’m testing…

Google NotebookLM

My last newsletter focused on 2024 reflections and planning for 2025. This year, my business expanded to include both 1:1 Coaching and Corporate Sales Workshops. As I think about 2025, I’m challenged with how to best communicate my services so people understand what I offer without any confusion.

Here’s what I tried:

First, I finalized all relevant documents, including:

  • Vision and Strategy 2025 doc
  • Sales Goals and Numbers doc
  • A Google Sheet summarizing client requests and project details

After uploading my documents to NotebookLM (with names and personal information removed), I prompted it with something like:

"I’m a sales trainer and 1:1 coach. Based on my experience and client needs, how can I clearly and concisely convey my brand positioning?"

After receiving initial suggestions, I refined the messaging further with prompts like:

"This is close. For Sales Training, I teach in-depth curriculums to corporate clients. For 1:1 coaching, my clients may not be in sales but come to me for personal growth. Is there anything I can enhance to make my messaging clearer and less confusing?"

Here’s my current draft, which I will likely tweak further before updating my materials:

For Website:
I’m a sales trainer for corporate clients and a 1:1 coach for individuals. My sales training delivers structured, in-depth programs to businesses, while my 1:1 coaching is personal and helps a diverse range of clients—many outside of sales—achieve professional and personal growth through foundational sales skills like influence, relationship-building, and negotiation.

Short Version/potential tagline: Empowerment through foundational sales skills: influence, relationship-building, and negotiation.

What do you think?

What I'm Reading

I just finished Entrepreneurial You by Dorie Clark and enjoyed it so much that I’ve started another of their books: The Long Game.

Lastly, I recommend following Patrice Poltzer Creative. I took one of her AI storytelling virtual courses and learned a lot about using AI in business, crafting effective prompts, and finding new ways to incorporate it into my workflow.
