The one question that every solopreneur wants to know is...

“Am I doing sales right?”

Spoiler alert: you're on the right track. But let's make it even better. With over two decades of experience in sales and recently transitioning into solopreneurship myself, I can assure you: you're more equipped than you think.

🔍 Step 1: Identify Your Strengths

The first step? Audit your process and recognize your strengths. You know your product inside out. A solopreneur launching their own product or service is the best person to take on the sales function initially. They understand their offering, have a personal story driving their business, address a pain point, and can adapt based on circumstances. Being agile and able to pivot is crucial at this stage.

🎯 Step 2: Pinpoint Areas for Growth

When a Founder or company is ready to hire a salesperson, it’s because the sales process has become repeatable. By this stage, a salesperson has a certain amount of data and reporting at their fingerprints.

In the meantime, as a solopreneur, you are in the process of building that process out, so you have to be resourceful and test ideas. You’ve identified your strengths (Step 1), now how can you become aware of your blind spots? It’s time to focus on the areas of your sales process that can be enhanced.

🚀 Step 3: Personalized Strategy for Success

Sales isn't one-size-fits-all. Your journey? Unique. As enticing as it is to jump at a solution that promises instantaneous results, the truth is there is no one-size-fits-all in sales. We’ve all been on the receiving end of a sales spam that is generic and has nothing to do with anything we might need.

Craft a strategy tailored to YOU. No cheesy slogans, no cookie-cutter approaches. Just real, actionable steps towards success. Imagine feeling confident in every pitch, every call.
